    Hi There…

After spending my twenties pursuing a career in acting, elating in the highs and suffering the lows, I retired. Life’s circumstances changed, as they are wont to do, and my thirties have brought love and a home and new priorities. Instead of driving and flying all over the country in search of the next gig, I’ve been able to indulge my inner dichotomy and become both a barefoot-gardening, home-cooking, dinner-party-hostessing homebody and a high-heel wearing, desert-trolling, beach-strolling, world-traveling nomad… who just got a great camera to capture it all.

My last ten years in the film business as an actor gives my work as a headshot and portrait photographer a unique insight. I’ve been on both sides of the camera, which offers me intuition into how to create an incredibly safe and creatively nurturing environment for my photographic subjects during a session, no matter what the environment. I connect with you and you connect with the camera, producing incredibly intimate work.

This website showcases my burgeoning body of work as a photographer. I’m just beginning on the path of skill development in a new art form. I have a lot to learn before I achieve mastery, but am excited about my initial results. From here, clients can review, sort, order and download materials. This site will be evolving over time, so please keep checking back.

The blog is my little exploration. A sharing of moments that I find to be tantalizing, tasty, terrific… things and people I love, food I’ve tried or want to, ideas that strike a spark, and light the fire that moves me to action. I’ve come across some great stuff and I want to share it with you. Talk about it. Learn from what you’ve found, too. The blog allows me to share with you a peek into how I see the world, just in case you’re interested. I’ll explore photography, cooking, life, land and love. Maybe something there will inspire you.

There’s a l lot of bad news out there.  Really, things are a mess. I believe in keeping informed and acting accordingly…but if we focus just on what’s wrong, it’ll make us crazy. Let’s take a little peek into the tiny details that make life beautiful and worth living or simply more fun.  They are all around us, all the time. It just depends on what you choose to notice.

Go ahead, smile at the next person you see. I dare you…
